About the Artwork:

Vision Nouvelle – Hommage à Dürer
This original color lithograph is a vintage exhibition poster created to advertise the "Estampes Originales" (Original Prints) exhibition held at the Galerie Vision Nouvelle at 6 Place des États-Unis in Paris in 1971.

Theme and Technique:

The central image of the poster is Dalí's work titled "Hommage à Dürer" (Homage to Albrecht Dürer), an iconic composition blending classical Renaissance references with his surrealist universe.
The lithograph was expertly printed by the renowned master printer Fernand Mourlot in Paris, a studio famous for producing high-quality prints for artists like Picasso, Chagall, and Matisse. Mourlot's printing house was known for its exceptional ability to translate an artist's vision into the demanding medium of lithography.

Signature and Edition:

Piece bears a genuine hand-signed signature by Salvador Dalí in pencil in the lower right margin, not a printed signature. This elevates the work from a standard poster to a collectible, hand-signed limited edition print (original lithograph). The edition size for these hand-signed versions was typically around 250 copies, printed on quality Arches wove paper.
The print masterfully combines expressive techniques, including fine lines, inky splatters, and dynamic composition, showcasing the spontaneous and direct expression the lithographic medium offered to Dalí.
