Collection: Mark Furman

Mark Furman was a distinguished Israeli painter of Ukrainian-Polish descent, celebrated for his ability to capture the rhythmic soul of life, music, and quiet everyday moments. Born in March 1945 in Krakow, he developed an early mastery of form and color, refining his talent at two of Eastern Europe’s most prestigious art academies.

A Global Journey to Success:
Immigration to Israel: In 1990, Furman immigrated to Israel with his family, where he immediately became a vital part of the elite art scenes in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

European & American Recognition:
His talent quickly gained international momentum. In 1991, he achieved a major breakthrough at the prestigious Art Expo in Hamburg, Germany, opening doors to top-tier European galleries. This was followed by a successful debut at the Art Expo in New York in 1992.

Legacy in Collections: For nearly two decades, Furman collaborated with leading international galleries (Dizingoff Ltd., Bruno Gallery, Lucien Krief). Today, his works are prestigious centerpieces in private collections worldwide.

 Artistic Style and Themes:
Furman’s unique aesthetic is a sophisticated fusion of classical realism and post-impressionist flair, often drawing comparisons to the elegance of Toulouse-Lautrec. His palette balances Mediterranean luminosity with the deep emotional resonance of his European roots.

His iconic "Blue-Chip" themes include:
Klezmerim and Musicians: Vibrant, kinetic scenes of Jewish life and musical celebration.

Figurative Nudes and Portraits:
Intimate, soulful depictions of female grace (the very masterpieces currently showcased in our gallery).

Urban and Genre Scenes:
Evocative portrayals of European city life (such as his "Berlin 20th" series) and sun-drenched Mediterranean landscapes.
